Halie and Ryan's wedding was FUN--which is how I would describe the two of them, too! The morning started at Warehouse 109's bridal suite, where Halie, her friends, and her family all got glammed up for the day. Once everyone was ready, Halie found Ryan waiting in the garden for their first look. After embracing (and showing off Ryan's leopard-printed tux lining), we moved to a few of my favorite spots at Warehouse 109 for bridal portraits, and Halie and Ryan giggled any remaining nerves away. Then we invited in the Bridal Party and most of the family to do portraits. This meant that after the ceremony, we only needed to take two large group photos--which came out perfectly backlit by the late afternoon sun!
The ceremony was officiated by their friends (a married couple themselves), so every bit of it was flourished with personal touches. Ike, Halie's husky, watched the ceremony from the back row. In lieu of a ringbearer, they taped the ring box under one of the ceremony chairs--so one of their guests got to discover it and bring the rings up mid-ceremony.
Halie and Ryan got to attend their cocktail hour, mingling through the crowd before making their grand entrance, cutting the cake, dancing their first dance, and settling in for a great meal. After, we snuck out for golden hour photos before they returned for dessert and a lively round of speeches.
The dance floor kicked off with the live band changing into wild outfits and throwing out one banger after another, which had the crowd going all night! Halie and Ryan launched personalized t-shirts onto the dance floor, everyone donned flip flops and grabbed light sticks, and Ryan even took over the microphone for a few songs. In the courtyard, guests took selfies, enjoyed the photo booth, and smoked a few cigars. A late-night Taco Bell delivery kept everyone fueled, and Halie's dress change was made complete with a pair of white sneakers right before I left for the evening!
I could not have asked for a more delightful group of people to spend a full wedding day with--Halie and Ryan are blessed with a village that knows how to celebrate!
