Joyful Maternity Session | IL Maternity Photographer

My first maternity session was...interesting. I was 16, practicing my art with a couple from my church. I had no idea what I was doing, and I was working with amateur equipment and editing on Picmonkey! I still had fun, but my work was....well, amateur.

Things now are a lot different!

That passion for capturing people during key moments in their life is still there, but there's a lot more confidence (and work!) behind my work now. I'm so grateful to have had the opportunity to do my first maternity shoot as a professional last week!

Jennifer was such a joyful mama. They're baby girl is on her way shortly, and the expectant parents are clearly ready to welcome her into their arms! This will be their first child, and I could already tell they will be wonderful parents.

One thing that brings me so much joy is seeing the way couples love on each other. It's no different when the couple is expecting--just even more special as I know that love will overflow onto their child!

There was so much love and adoration in this session, of Jennifer, of the baby, and of the life these two are building. I can't wait to see where they will go!
