Elizabeth described her relationship with Ricky in those words the first interaction we had, setting the tone for what would be a beautiful wedding day full of love!

They had their ceremony and reception at the Barrington White House, only minutes away from the Shakou where they had their first date. Every detail of their day was intentional--from the carefully chosen invitations to the movie-night themed late night snack!

We started the day with detail shots, and I had the help of Elizabeth's son and neice as we crafted careful layouts. They were both so curious about wedding photography--I hope one of them picks up a camera in the future!

After details, I hung out with Elizabeth and Ricky as they dressed for the day, popping back and forth between the upstairs and downstairs, which conveniently kept everyone together without compromising the first look! They met up for the first time that day on the front porch of the White House, giving them a private moment to rest in each other's embrace.

The ceremony was full of unique personal touches! Elizabeth's brother Dan played hand-picked piano pieces as a prelude to the wedding. As the bridal party walked down the aisle, a recording of Elizabeth and Ricky describing their relationship played in lieu of music. Her other brother, Tim, sang "Fall on Me" during the ceremony with her cousing Marie, and the Bride's son was brought up for a special prayer of blessing over their newly formed family.

The reception was a hit! Full of dancing (with a stunning choreographed first dance!!), good drinks, and amazing food, the reception partied right on until midnight! Ricky and Elizabeth had the pianist from their favorite bar switch off with their DJ, and he took requests from the guests. I left feeling like I knew the whole family and can't wait to work with everyone again.
